Dr.B.M.Veerabadran, was born in Tenkasi on 09.10.1940, as eldest in a family of 5 children. He completed his Schooling in Tenkasi and College Education in St.Xaviers College, Palayamkottai. He did his MBBS in Stanley Medical College between 1956 and 1962, followed by MD General Medicine in MMC. Worked as Honorary Assistant Physician under Late Prof. A L Annamalai between 1964 and 1981.
While working under Prof. A L Annamalai, he started his own clinic in Arcot Road, Vadapalani in June 1964 with the help of his well-wishers. Simultaneously he was also working as a part time DMO in Tube Products of India, Avadi.
With an experience of nearly 20 years as a Physician, he started a 40 bedded hospital - The Best Hospital (P) Limited in Kodambakkam, Chennai, to cater the needs of economically weaker sections of the society.
Though initially it was constructed with ground and 1st floor only, two more floors were added later and due to his untiring hard work, honesty and the goodwill he earned among public, he extended this hospital with 4 floors adjacent to the existing building. Joined the Rotary Club of Madras Southwest as a Member in the year 1982 and has been the President of the Club in 1988. He was the Founder of Rotary School of Nursing - a Project of RCMSW Charitable Trust for under privileged girls and took position as a chairman in the year 1994. The school gained Government recognition during his Chairmanship.
Was Made Fellow of MMC on 28.02.2010 by MMC.
